A Brief Explanation of Fragrance Concentrations
used in Women's perfume & Men's cologne.
Fragrance Manufacturers labels their fragrances with Perfume Concentrations to
help you understand the concentration of Perfume to alcohol you are buying.
Fragrance is made up of Perfume Oils from different Fragrance Families which are
mixed with Alcohol.
Alcohol allows easy application of the fragrance. When you spray perfume,
the "mist" that is created helps the perfume to be sprayed from the perfume
bottle and onto a surface. The Alcohol will evaporate quickly after it has
been sprayed, leaving behind the fragrance, which emanates from your skin.
The various levels of fragrance strength you are
most likely to run into, while fragrance shopping are listed below, in order
from Highest to Lowest level of fragrance Oil Concentration The concentration
of fragrance will generally determine how long it will last on your skin. Keep
in mind, the more concentrated the fragrance, Stronger the scent & therefore
less application is required.

Most designers choose to produce "Eau
De Toilette" (commonly referred to as EDT)
concentration in their line of womens perfume, which is the
most popular concentration on the market.
